Problem with build-in PayPal plugin

Hi :)

everythinks works fine so far except the return after a successful paypal-payment. I receive the payment but JoomShopping keeps the state "Offen (Open)" and is not switching to "bezahlt (paid)" anymore.

So I checked the log file (paymentdata.log) and saw something strange that hopefully helps to determine the problem.
The last entry from a completely working paypal payment (including setting correct status) shows this:
...
payment_status=Completed
...
2023-09-13 12:48:02 url: /index.php?option=com_jshopping&controller=checkout&task=step7&act=notify&js_paymentclass=pm_paypal&no_lang=1

Now - with the wrong state - it shows:
...
payment_status=Completed
...
2023-10-18 11:30:32 url: /checkout/step7.html?act=return&js_paymentclass=pm_paypal&PayerID=JX83NKLKVVSXN

How can I make it work again like before? Any ideas?

Thanks for the sudden reply. I checked all the settings like documented in the given link - but no success yet (see attached screenshots).
Do you have any more ideas? I'm wondering because it was working for a long time and without updating Joomla or JoomShopping it is not working from one day to another!?

I hope the attached screenshot helps for further investigation!?

Hi again.

Good advice! I attached the logfile of one payment and I can see, paypal is trying to send an IPN back to the webshop but somethings is preventing that. I checked .htaccess file but there is no code inside which can cause the problem. So I think need to contact the webhoster? Maybe you can give me some kind of reason why there is no HTTP response code? I thought the had to be an 403 error or something...

Try change paypal ipn to

...domain.../?option=com_jshopping&controller=checkout&task=step7&act=notify&js_paymentclass=pm_paypal&no_lang=1

or contact to hoster support (hoster block paypal ipn?)

Due to not getting this problem resolved I purchased the Paypal API plugin and now everything works like a charm again.
