Image quality in thumbnail

Image quality in thumbnail

Hello

On our website, the image quality in the thumbnail is not great. The quality of the images are fine once you click into the product and into the images but they are not great on the thumbnails. Is there a way to improve this?

We have tried to alter the thumbnail sizes but we are not sure what is the best size to choose for the bst quality. Or if there is another way to improve the quality?
