Hide modules in Checkout steps..

I have some site modules (for example Warenkorb) in a right column shown in the shop. This should be shown when browsing/searching through the shop. When someone goes to the warenkorb, the right column disappears, which is perfect like this.

But when he then goes to checkout, the right column is back there.
I'm a little stuck here to hide it in checkout, can you give me a hint on how to do so?
