Can't proceed in checkout for countries without states

I'm running the latest Joomshopping version on the latest Joomla version. The version of the "States" addon is the most current.

In the configuration, "State" is a required field, and is necessary for delivery in the United States.

When a customer from New Zealand tries to order, that can't get past the first page of the checkout because there is no "State" selected.

No country without states can check out.

I've had to temporarily make "State" optional in order to receive orders.

if a country has a state to choose, you can proceed in the checkout.

If there is NO STATE to choose, you cannot proceed to the next step (notice orange highlight on image with no state)

I did create a "na" for countries without states so that I can make it required temporarily.

I'm hoping that you can fix this issue, as "state" is an important part of addresses for delivery in the USA.

This is still an issue. To properly ship in the United States the State is a required field and we need to keep it required during the checkout process. Since this addon doesn't have a placeholder text (e.g. N/A) for countries without states/regions we can't complete the checkout process. Thus, disabling required for the State, isn't the solution; it's nothing more than a workaround.

Can you please update the addon by adding a placeholder text for countries without states/regions? Thanks in advance.
