SimpleCaptcha does not prevent spam

Dear support,
some time ago I was looking for a way to prevent spam which is send trough the product comment option. The extension simplecaptcha was recommended to me.
Unfortunately the the extension is not working. Every day a lot of spam i send through my page to other person.

Please help! What can I do to stop the spam??????????

Does nobody elso have the same problem?

1. this is not rright. Please go to my site, enter your mail adress and submit a comment. You will receive a message

2. I will try the new version

3. Due to simplicity my customers do not have to register. Also nobody will register just to leave a comment. I ask all my customers personally to leave a comment.

Dear Admin,

I updated the SimpleCaptcha 1.1.0 to 1.2.0.

You are right- just the admin of the page is receiving the messages/ spam. My test failed, as I was using the admin mail account to perform the test.

However, I still receive spam messages by robots, which can fill out the form.

Do you have another suggestion?

I made some quick statistics and checked 140 messages. Each IP-adress is used up to 4 times, mostly once or twice. If you wish I can send you all the ip-adresses.

Dear Admin,

I installed the latest simpleCaptcha 1.3.0 and configured it for google recaptcha. However, the recaptcha does not show up on the page when turned on.
I think I made everything right as I am using the google recaptcha for my contact form already (plugin from fox-contact).

it was not clear to me, that I have to use the recaptcha V3. I used the V2 before.
I will perform a test and will give you later a feedback.

after configuration of the recaptcha V3 the spam stopped finally. I thank you for solving the issue. I do not receive this disturbing spam anymore.
