Availability info Custom status? And how does the positioning work?

Hey
I am using Availability info, but the custom status is not show. How should this work? I made a new status: "Test" and I can choose the new status "Test" in the info page of the product. But it doesn't show and the next time I go in the info page of the product it is not selected anymore.
Does is conflict with the Availability status extension?
Also, I can't select a picture for a custom status, the pop up doesn't open. No problem with the pop up on the standard status.

Also, how is the positioning of the pic working? I am not sure what options I have with _tmp_product_html_before_buttons and so on.
Right now, the dot is a bit high, see screenshot

Yes, both Addons are installed. Should I uninstall Avaliabilty info?
Also, any idea about the height in relation to the wors before? (screenshot)
