Tax within USA / different tax for different states

Hello,

I see this topic in the forum, (http://www.webdesigner-profi.de/joomla-webdesign/joomla-shop/forum/posts/25/3721.html?lang=en) but still cant understand how to set it up.

Basically I need tax to be 0% for all countries and all states in USA without Massachusetts.
Then I need tax for Massachusetts to be 6.25%.

I've also added Addon States - thinking it will actually display 50 states in US but I dont see them anywhere, so I cant seem to include/exclude states and set up extended tax rules based on that.

I have also found this plugin, but didnt want to purchase just yet until I understand what am I doing wrong. http://www.webdesigner-profi.de/joomla-webdesign/shop/addons/states-tax.html

I am having a few issues similar to this one:

1. I installed "Addon States" is this different from "Addon States Taxes?"
2. The Tax Rate that I added is not showing up in the total price when a customer checks out.
3. I cannot change the price of products. When I change the price, it remains the same on the individual Product page. The change is only recognized on the product list page. example: The price of this product was changed to $1.99, however, it still shows the price $24.99 ( http://newsite.foxpawsshoes.com/index.php?option=com_jshopping&controller=cart&task=view&Itemid=0 )

Hi,

According to wikipedia: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Sales_taxes_in_the_United_States the sales tax can be different in some states, counties and cities, since they impose additional sales taxes.
This is why all e-shops in US handle the tax by ZIP code.
Is this possible?

Hi,

According to our accounting dept, we need to only charge tax when a purchase is made within the state of Texas, that is our company base.
We have configure a Texas State tax, however when we add to cart a product from an account with an address from another state, ie Illinios, the cart contains the state tax. Please, see attached pictures.

Please advise.

Hi,

We have bought and use the addon and we only have one tax called Texas State Sales Tax (6.25 %).
Tax only applies to State of Texas. We have deleted the default Normaal 0.0 Tax and all products are assigned to the Texas State Tax.
The problem is that when I add products in my cart logged in as a user who's address is from Illinois, I still get taxed with Texas State Tax and it's shown on my cart, as I shown you on the picture of my previous message.
Please advise.

You need to set Tax to 0% and at the extended rules you need to create the tax for the specific State.

For a customer i need to add a tax of 8.875, the the shop is changing that to 8.88 and that is wrong. I need the 8.875.
How can i do that?
