Warnung Error email received when payping with paypal

Hi!
Everytime a customer uses PayPal to pay for an order, the Error Message "Error email received. Order ID ..." shows up. The Payment goes through, but no order email gets sent to me and the customer doesn't get any emails either. And the order does not even show up in the backend. The problem is new, everyhting worked up to two weeks ago and I didn't change anyhting.
Can you help? What am I doning wrong?

Payment alias: pm_paypal
But I deactivated this payment option now, because customers were paying without receiving anything back.

The Full Error actually was "Error email received. Order ID 17441". Thats all.

The log files are completely empty. Do I have to activate the log somehow first? I can do that and recreate the error again. Please advise.

I think PayPal made changes (they wrote a long time ago that this type of payment is outdated)
