Invoice number - no number when order is created in the backend?

Hey
I have invoice number installed and it creates and invoice number correctly when the order comes in through the shop. However, when I create the order manually in the back end, no invoice number is created.
Any way to avoid this?

Hey
order is finished, latest version of the addon.
But I think I found the problem:
If the order is finished after saving for the first time, it doesn't work. It works fine when you do it all at once. But if you don't mark the order as finished before you save for the first time, then edit the order and set the check box to finish, it doesn't work.
The screenshot shows two orders, both are finished now. The one with the invoice number had the check box "Finished" ("Beendet" in German) marked before the first saving, the one without invoice number I have saved first, then went back to edit and only then checked the "Finished" checkbox.
Bug or feature?
