Canonical plugin for products

Hi there,
I have installed and enabled the canonical plugin for products.

A product is assigned to 2 categories and is available in both categories.

1. https://www.site.ru/igrushki/novoe-postuplenie-ot-19-11-2020g/0704-khokkej-nastolnyj
In the HTML we have:
<link href="https://www.site.ru/igrushki/novoe-postuplenie-ot-19-11-2020g/0704-khokkej-nastolnyj" rel="canonical" />

2. https://www.site.ru/igrushki/nastolnyj-khokkej-futbol-bilyard/0704-khokkej-nastolnyj
In the HTML we have:
<link href="https://www.site.ru/igrushki/nastolnyj-khokkej-futbol-bilyard/0704-khokkej-nastolnyj" rel="canonical" />

As we see - each page comes to the same URL and has a canonical attribute.
Is it correct?

I thought the canonical URL should come to one page to avoid duplication.
But in my example each page has different canonical links (to itself) which is, in fact, does not help the search engine bot to blind those two pages.
What do you think?

Installed Product canonical 5.0.2 (JoomShopping 5.0.0+) and got two canonical urls: an old incorrect and a new correct.
