no lang override variables in use when sending manual order email

I have different language overrides in use (e.g. JSHOP_INC_TAX) and when I use the "Send Email" function within the order (send manually) the language overrides are ignored/not used.

So in the confirmation email there I find e.g. "MWSt" instead of "Durchschnittssteuerstatz".

Automatically sent emails always work as expected.

What could be the reason for this behavior?
