I bought yesterday your backup extension as I need backup of old site (Joomla 2.5.19 /JoomShopping 3.10.0) to move to new installation of the shop. When trying to install I get this error message: JFolder::create: Path not in open_basedir paths Warning: Failed to move file!
What do I have to do?
Thank you

Aw: Backup addons

Finally I am with the new shop online while finalizing the install. I took a backup from the old shop and got the message success. Then I went to the new shop, installed the zip file and got two messages: 1) "Completed" in green and then in red 2) "Warning: Version 4.18.4 is not supported". In the FTP I can see that the categories and products images have been installed to the new site, but in the front and back end nothing has happens.
The old site I did backup from is Joomla 2.5.19 / JoomSopping 3.10.0
The new site where I installed the backup to is Joomla 3.9.19 / JoomShopping 4.18.4 / Database Version 5.7.30-log / PHP Version 7.4.6
The website where I'm backing up from is: www.jouetsdavidson.ch. The new site is on a preview bases until finished, the products and category there was done by me manually, but the full backup is in the com.joomshopping folders, but dont show: https://hdqkadjhl.preview.infomaniak.website/
Thanks for some suggestions.

Joomla: 3.9.19
JoomShopping: 4.18.4
PHP: 7.4.6
MySQL: 5.7.30

That is exactly what I did. I created catégories menu. Then, before importing the backup, I created few categories and added few products, just for the configuration purpose.
Then I backed up the current site (www.jouetsdavidson.ch) and unzipped it into the new one. I was hoping that the backup would replace all categories with the ones from the old site and copy the products from the old site, clients etc., just like is told in the presentation of the backup module. But that did not happen; the new site has not benefitted from the backup at all, the JoomShopping in the new site backend has not changed at all, nothing from the backup is visible. When I go into the FTP of the new site, I can see that the backup has added all the stuff into those ..\components\com_jshopping folders - but that does not work at all.
In short: the backup was taken from the current site (www.joetsdavidson.ch) and installed into the new site (https://hdqkadjhl.preview.infomaniak.website/) but nothing happened. Still the backup managed to load those ..\components\com_jshopping folders with at least all pictures. But it does not work. The backup has not changed anything on the new site.
In privat message I mail to you the access to the backend of the new site as well as the backupZip from the old site.
Then you.

Aw: Backup addons

It is a little late informing about the limitation of the backup addon. I have spend ten's of hours trying to get this to work, learning it just now that it is not supposed to work.
So I did the following:
1) On the new site I uninstalled JS 4.18.4 and installed the 4.5.0 version.
2) On the old (current live) site I upgrated the JS 3.10.0 version to 3.16.1-3.16.2 version.
3) took a backup of 3.16.1 version and installed it to the 4.5.0 version (on the new site)
4) DID NOT WORK. Got the following error message: 0 Archive does not exist at /home/clients/fb689bd7c6b7b4d091a643d5b890ca69/web/tmp/backup_3.16.1_20200613090216.zip
In my opinion, I followed your instruction and it still does not work.
Thank you for your time and now what?
