Error: Service temporarily unavailable
For a few days now, we have a problem with the shop. On checkout of the shop, the system hangs and comes up with a "system temporarily unavailable" message after a while. However, the ordermails are sent, but the order is duplicated in the system. Customer also receives duplicate mails with different ordernumber.
In order to find errors, I just updated to the newest version of joomla, joomshopping and also updated all addons. But it did not help.
What could be the reason for this?
Joomla: 5.3.1
JoomShopping: 5.7.0
PHP: 8.3.21

Sorry for coming back late.
Basically the configuration has not changed.
I did some updates, but only after the error was reported.
I will check SMTP but don't think it is there.

It is a 503 - Error saying:
Service Temporarily Unavailable
The server is temporarily unable to service your request due to maintenance downtime or capacity problems. Please try again later.

Try disable smtp
configuration: Mailer: PHP mailer
works?

I changed PHP-Settings to higher values. Now the problem does not occur any more. seems as if the page is taking very long to close the order.
like 30 seconds or more.

I changed to PHP-Mailer. This was obviously the reason.
I will have to check my Mailserver then.
